A cotton Mekhela Chador is a two-piece traditional Assamese attire for women, typically made of comfortable cotton. The Mekhela is a wide, cylindrical piece of cloth folded into pleats and draped around the waist like a sarong. The Chadar, or Sador, is a long, unstitched cloth that is draped over the shoulder, with one end tucked into the upper part of the Mekhela.
