Newly hatched ducklings feature a dark brown to charcoal-colored down feather coat with light olive-yellow or tan patches around the belly and face.Adult Transition-As they mature (around 8–12 weeks), males develop a distinct brownish-bronze/greenish head, while females mature into a uniform khaki-brown plumage designed for natural camouflage.Temperament-Energetic, curious, and active foragers. They are alert and slightly skittish if unhandled, but very docile when raised closely.
